i have many things to be done in Year 2008.

i HAVE to do well for my CBA and get a passed cert.

i NEED & HAVE to shed few/many kgs by this Nov/Dec 2008.

i HAVE to pass my basic & advanced driving theory and starts practical driving by third quarter of 2008. (for your info, i'm taking up my basic driving theory on 29 Apr.)

i NEED to start enrolling for my DBA by late Oct/early Nov 2008.

i WANT to start learning how to do cross-stitch.

AND

i want to go holiday-ing.... hahahahaa.....

BUT

before i can get/achieved all the above, i have work hard first... i have to study hard to get my certs... i have to go gym for at least 3 times a week in order to shed away all the extra fats... i have to study hard/do well for my driving theory (basic & advanced) and driving practical...

in another word, this year 2008 is a very meaningful year for me. cos it is also the first year that i have so many tasks in line to complete and achieve. i feel so proud of myself... hahaha...

yeah!!! finally my cba module starts today.. have been rotting right after exams in Early Jan. well, today had my first lesson. all i can say, i have to work hard for this module cos i'm having a very strong feeling that I DUN LIKE MARKETING.. BUT it is part of the module that i have to study in order to get my cert. so, i really have to work really really hard.. wish me luck, ya..

this module will have report to do. is on individual report for each student, which i was glad.. hahahah... BUT at the other hand, my mind is telling me, i tot u dun like marketing.. so no choice, i better buck up and tidy my feelings to do well for this module. NO re-module or re-exam is allowed for Kathleen Ng, NRIC No. S85xxxxxH. so jolly well, work hard for it.

i must say for the next few weeks, i have to plan my time well.. i must plan in such a way that i have time for my studies, my gym, my jac & bev, my cousins, my family and lastly not forgetting my dear friends.. hahaha... time for work, work. time for studies, study. time for play, play. time for rot, rot. time to enjoy, enjoy.. hahaha...

i was so glad when bev sms me telling me last evening that both herself n jac will be out today.. ahahaha.. i miss them so much.. hahahaa.. initiately both are not suppose to book out b'cos they were late to book in on Valentine's Day. shall not say much cos i was upset that they never jio me to eat together on Valentine's Day.. when i talk abt it, i'm like boiling hot water.. hahaha.. jus kidding..

well, i have a lovely evening today together with my 'lover' bev.. hahahaah.. we left home abt 5plus, i tink.. first stop, we went to have our dinner at subway at marine square cos mum gg for prayer with dad n val.. hahaha.. i had my all time fav - subway melt set that comes with a drink and two cookies or chips. of cos, i chosen the cookies cos i love subway cookies. hahaha.. my 'lover' had subway club set, i tink. cant remember... hahaha.. so we chat while eating.. she was updating me with her stuffs in camp and the happening between her and one of the guy that wants to know her.. hahaha...

second stop which is after our dinner, we went to do her phone skin at suntec. when we ask the lady at the push-cart, she explain to us that it was not within the warranty cos it was due to own scratch or something lidat. the lady does not sound friendly... but who cares, we jus said thank you and left the place. we continue window shopping at suntec.. didnt buy anything today.. so boring.. ahaha..

wait, at this moment which is 7plus, we cant go home cos both of us came out happily without bringing the house key.. N mum and dad were already out.. hahaha.. so, i sms jac to open door for us if they (as in jac & bf - heng) were home before us.. hahahha...

never mind of the above, both of us went chilling out at our fav cafe.. Gloria Jean at Suntec City.. hahahah.... we order a mint choc bomb and a caramel nut cappucino.. hahaha.. we stayed there for abt 2 hrs, i tink.. hahaha.. we were updating abt each other abt our fantasy. we were on the same boat for our fantasy. our doors are not open yet for anyone, we suppose. but will this day come? we will praying hard too.. i believe our loved ones around us are praying hard for us too.. which parents dont want their children to be attached to a great man? which woman dont want a man that can loves her so much that he can get the moon for her? well, mayb ours were not here yet and we are still praying hard... so wish us luck, ya...

i learn something from bev. pple say she n jac n her other two frens were ugly. so they come out with the 4 uglys.. which i find it very innovative..

i'm back again. have not been posting for the last few days cos i wasnt in the mood to do so..

suppose to be on date on Tues but was being postponed due to his work. well, i cant complain much cos i shouldn't have put so much high hope on this.. hahaha.. anyway, he is not someone my mum duno. he is someone mum saw before during one of our office function. neither is he from the bank nor my office.. he is one of our "high class" catering vendor.. he is in charge of outside catering under Tung Lok Group.. hahaha.. aiya... dun mention anymore. i was damn upset.. he flew off to China on a business trip on Wed, midnight. will be only back in another two weeks time. hope this time he will honour his words.. so jus have to hope for the best then.. wish me luck.. hahaha..

lately i wasnt in the mood esp. after the long holiday during CNY. i oso dunoe why.. hoping everyday will be a party-ing day and in return, have income coming in... hahah.. oh my, i MUST be day-dreaming again.. life is so bored without bev & jac around.. so sickening!!!!

Sun, 17 Feb
my dear-y cousins came to town with 3rd aunt, 5th uncle, 5th aunt & maternal grandma. my two little dear-y cousins were here too.. so we intend to go out after prayer. oh, i forget to say they came to town for some prayer.

so after all the prayers and makan session together, we asked persmission to bring zhen wei (my handsome brother) out with us. so we proceed home first, while they were relaxing themselves, i hurry up wash up and prepare myself so does bev. together, we waited for jac to come back and leave home at 2plus with the following :

feli - 18 yrs
wei - 4.5 yrs
val - 3.5 yrs (niece)

we had a great outing together. we went together to taka to let the two children selected their toys which i promise to get for them. after much selection, we sisters decided to buy them something which can plug into the tv and start playing the game. they were both so happy. and guess wat, feli manage to find something she's likes. so i oso buy for her. i never will feel that i should not get them anything cos they are all my precious girlss....

at abt 4.30pm, feli had to leave for work while we went to swensens to have our late lunch & early dinner. we had quite a number of item and of cos, we do let the two children decide what to eat and share. we have to be very careful with the children cos we cant let them have too much cold drinks or ice-cream.. ahhahaha.. indeed we didnt, i guess.. we are good sisters and aunty that follows instrutions. ahahahah.. i have yet to upload the pics, mayb tues or wed, i shall post some up. i'm very glad that the kids like their individual toy so much... hahaha.. okay, after children's shopping, we big sisters & auntys have to shop to. so we went to cotton on to see look see look.. ahahah, of cos we take turns to keep an eye on the two kids.. they are really very naive and cute.. love them so much.. okay, okay. we left orchard at abt 7plus. i sent pat and wei back to yishun and i took train back from yishun to town. while jac n bev send val home first and i meet them in p.s to purchase their barang barang for their in-camp usage.. hahaha...

after all, i had great fun, laughter and company on a lovely sunday afternoon + evening.. hahahah.. will really try to upload the pics soon.. (some only)

Mon, 18 Feb
had a so-so day at work. my mind is not at ease. i'm tink-ing abt something else. i tried to do things to stop tink-ing abt it but i dun tink it helps much.. ahahaha.. i tried, really.. well, never mind.

i'd our company dinner at The Blue Ginger along Tanjong Pagar Road. the food was not bad. quite fun. hahaah.. nothing interesting to post either.. ahhaaha...

today went for swimmming lesson with bev at boss serene's house in sun plaza. was the first lesson after CNY and it's fun.. ahhaha.. after the lesson, we wash up and proceed to boss serene's house for dinner with her family. is a cny dinner.. ahhaha.. is fun..

i have nothing much to update today cos i'm very tired.. hahahaah... but i have to say i seems to be missing someone... he can only confirm with me if tues, 19 feb are we meeting up not.. hahaha.. so i'm fine with it.

Had a very busy morning in office. partly b'cos my bestie is on medical leave and pple dont know how to assist. no initiative.. pissed me off.. arrggghhhhh... stop living in your own world and start living... forget abt the angry stuffs, let me recall abt some happy ones. I check out with R if he receives my msg last nite co no response from him. so we started email-ing each other for the whole morning but bearing in mind, i'm working at the same time. I can multi-task hor.. hahahaha..

i was so contented and i feel super happy email-ing him / sms or even talk to him. i somehow feel safe too.. but there are no progress between us.. i know why. for me to know and for you to find out. we might be meeting up on Tues, 19 feb for a drink and i might take leave too... but this plan is to be confirmed again.. i stupidly mistaken 19 feb as tomorrow... super blur rite? hahahaha.. if this date is not confirmed on 19 feb, then we can only meet/catch up in Mar after his biz trip.. so i'm praying very hard cos seriously i tink i miss him. so, pls wish me luck.

i leave office at abt 6.30pm. went to bugis junction before heading home. i went to the face shop to purchase two more nail polish, a cuticle remover and a little pouch for my nail polishes.. hahaha.. i feel so great after purchasing it cos i feel that lately i've fallen in love with polishing nails. hahhaha... vain rite? hhahahaahah...

after that i headed home, i get change and prepare to watch Chingay 2008 Rehearsal at padang which is walking distance from my house. i went there with mum, gladys and niece val. we reached there abt 7plus, it is super crowd already lor.. we tried to make our way to get a best location which we can see the rehearsal clearly. so lucky, we indeed did. hahahaha.. we watch till 10.30pm then walk home. we were super tire already. i shower after that, i do my face and now blogging away and in awhile more, I'm going to lalala-land to meet my lala-prince. hahahaha...

my schedule for this weekend might be as follows :

Sat, 16 Feb
- swimming lesson at boss serene's house. time from 3pm-4pm / 4pm-5pm
- boss serene asked us to have dinner at her place. not sure if confirmed going not. shall post tmr.
- after tat, back home and start blogging again and go for my beauty slp.

Sun, 17 Feb
- might want to go market with mum and dad. to be confirmed.
- meet 5th Uncle, Aunts & Grandma & Cousins. to be confirmed.
- dont know if chilling session with bev is on. also to be confirmed.

Valentine's Day is a day to celebrate love, the most beautiful feeling in the world. Lucky are those who are loved and cared for.

Valentine's Day is a special day when you can be poetic and express the most precious feelings of yours to your beloved through poems.

Friends bring a smile to your face when you're sad and make your days bloom with lots of joy and happiness. It's Valentine's Day and it's time to let your friends know how much you value their friendship.

Valentine's Day History And Origin
People have been in love from time immemorial. It would be unjust to ascribe any particular history and origin to love and the feelings that come with it. But Valentine's Day, the day which celebrates love worldwide, sure has a history and origin of its own. February is historically chosen to be the month of love and romance and the month to celebrate Valentine's Day. Can you possibly overlook the deluge of love-drenched feelings, the slushy outbreak of 'being in love' and the pervasion of the color red all around when the calendar turns to the month of February? No. None of us can! For, the one thing that's inextricably linked to the month of February is Valentine's Day—the most coveted celebration after Christmas and a day kept aside to let love rule everywhere. Come what may, the hype and hoopla surrounding Valentine's Day never goes unnoticed, no matter which part of the world you are placed in! And Valentine's Day incidentally is the 2nd largest card-sending occasion, after Christmas.

Valentine's Day has shadows of both the Christian and Roman traditions. Celebrated famously on February 14 every year, some believe that Valentine's Day has its history and origin in the ancient Roman festival of Lupercalia. The latter was an annual feasting and celebration by the Romans to keep fearful wolves at bay from damaging their crops. Lupercalia was celebrated on February 15 with the young men striking the women because it was believed that these blows would make them more fertile. This association of Lupercalia with fertility is probably one reason why Valentine's Day is linked to this ancient Roman festival. Also, on the eve of Lupercalia, which is on February 14, it was quite popular for young women to find their partners for the festival. The romantic origin of Valentine's Day can even be traced to this practice.

No matter what the history and origin of Valentine's Day includes, it sure includes this patron saint named St. Valentine. Now history even has it that there has been more than one legend related to St. Valentine. Summing two legends, we now know that there were two saints (of the same name Valentine) belonging to the early Christian church. One legend holds that when the Roman Emperor Claudius II forbade young men to marry to make better soldiers out of single men, a priest named Valentine defied the orders and secretly married young couples. Consequently he was beheaded on February 14 for his 'crime'. Some even hold that Valentine was killed for trying to help Christians escape the atrocities prevailing in the Roman prisons. But whatever the facts, ever since, February 14 came to be celebrated as Valentine's Day commemorating this great patron of people in love worldwide. The other story talks of another Valentine who was a children's favorite but was despised by the Romans for his religious defiance. The Romans had him behind the bars but the children still managed to send fond messages to their favorite Valentine. The current custom of exchanging love messages on Valentines's Day might have roots to this age-old tale.

Yet another legend holds that when Valentine was in prison, he fell in love with the prison guard's daughter. And history states that before his death, he wrote a letter to his beloved signing off as 'From your Valentine'. It's not known to which extent these Valentine's Day legends related to its origin are true, but this expression 'From your Valentine' sure caught hold like wildfire. And people still send gifts and cards on Valentine's Day with this tag hanging from them—''From your Valentine''! So you keep the tradition going too.

Probably, the Americans began exchanging handmade Valentine's Day cards in the early years of the eighteenth century. And around 1840, a person called Esther A. Howland began selling the first big production of Valentine's Day greetings in America. Now, apart from all the facts and figures of Valentine's Day history and origin, one thing that's for sure is the choice of February as the month for celebrating love. In ancient Rome, February was the official kick-off month for the season of spring and was a time to feel happy all over again. Then in the Middle Ages, it was quite a popular belief in France and England that February was the birds' mating season. All these and many more taken together contributed to the consolidation of mid-February as the time for Valentines.

Finally, around 498 AD, Pope Gelasius I declared February 14 as St. Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day Customs And Traditions
To be very right, the Valentine's Day customs and traditions vary a little from one country to another. But on a broader look, you're sure to come across this—the customs and traditions of Valentine's Day commonly include pampering one's loved ones with loads of gifts and greetings, finding out the right partners for oneself and spelling out those three magical words 'I Love You'! There aren't ends to what one can do on Valentine's Day to make his/her dear ones feel more and more loved and cared for. Just remember, whatever you do, dip it in love and you're sure to come out in flying colors! Because, this is a day for those in love, a day to love, get love and live love. And it DOES NOT mean just lovers and sweethearts; it includes all those close to your heart. So be it your father, mother, siblings, cousins, friends, gramps or just anyone whom you dearly love—all you got to do is open your heart out to them, wish them a "Happy Valentine's Day" and tell them how much they mean to you!

One of the commonest customs and traditions of Valentine's Day is going on dates, looking for the right companion. This practice probably descended from the popular English belief that birds chose their partners on February 14. And today's Valentine's Day is a time totally high on love—a time to whisper sweet "I Love You"s, propose with a bold "be my valentines" or just flirt a special someone with a few love-verses or some sizzling kisses. Quite in keeping with the Valentine's Day customs and traditions, people buy romantic gifts and cards for their beloveds and sometimes they even get into the act of the day with fragrant flowers, candlelight dinners or a romantic day-out, whichever suits their pockets. Heart-shaped cards, candies and gifts are all the rage in the market this time around. Gifting of cute heart-locks and keys are also quite favorite customs and traditions on Valentine's Day, to say "You hold the keys to my heart". Then there's the custom of sending romantic messages to him or her on Valentine's Day. Thousands of stores sell mushy love-notes for this occasion to draw throngs of lovesick souls to their doorsteps. So if you want to pamper your sweetheart with some really romantic poems and songs, start queuing up now and avoid the rush!

In Wales, there was this tradition of gifting carved wooden love-spoons on Valentine's Day, while in some places of England, you'll find the custom of special Valentine's Day feasting and baking of extra-special Valentine buns. Now, the Italian and British maidens observe Valentine's Day with a very interesting custom. They stand by the window before sunrise on Valentine's Day with bated breath because they believe the first man they spot would be their partners for the rest of life. In Denmark, people send anonymous love-letters to their valentines to keep the fun alive and kicking.

One of the many other Valentine's Day customs and traditions is the pinning of bay leaves in the pillows by unmarried women on the Valentine's Day eve. This comes from a belief that they would be able to catch a glimpse of their future husbands in dreams if they pinned five bay leaves to their pillows and sprinkled rose water on them the night before Valentine's Day. Then there's also a popular Valentine's Day practice of choosing female-partners by drawing their names from a big jar. Men pick a piece of paper each and the woman whose name comes up, she becomes his Valentine. In some occasions, men wore their partners' names on their sleeves and it's probably from this that the popular Valentine's Day saying of "wearing the heart on sleeve" came from.

There are umpteen customs, traditions and beliefs associated with this most awaited day of Love—Valentine's Day. But not each is followed everywhere. With regional variations, the customs undergo slight modifications too. But the underlying current is the same everywhere! HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY, EVERYBODY!!!!

today, i was so busy the whole day till 3plus for the dbsh board meeting that is held quarterly. was suppose to reach office at 7am but was late, only reach at 7.15am in office but nobody as in my team is not here yet... all of us were late.. from this time onwards, i was busy till 2pm then had my lunch in office, on stand-by again at 2.45pm for assistance and only starts work in office at abt 3.30pm. nothing much to post on the work happening.. lets talk abt today!!!

IT IS 14 FEB 2008. IT IS VALENTINE'S DAY. a day that i dont really love much. a day that i dont have someone to celebrate with. a day that i only wish all around me a happy valentine's day. BUT today, it is different. i receive R's call at 16:54 on 14 Feb 2008. this really bright up my busy and stress day.. we were like talking for abt 6mins. our conversation as follows :

K : hello
R : happy valentine's day
K : you too
R : where are you now?
K : at work. in office now. jus finish the board meeting.
R : ok. is it the same board room?
K : nope. board meeting venue is outside my office at dbs tower one.
R : ok. how come never take half day to celebrate V day?
K : nobody to celebrate with me, so no point taking half day. how abt you?
R : nope. at work. i'm a loner but i'm not a gay.
K : haha. i never say that. i am not that bad to say that tooo.
R : cos most of the time, ladies will be asking me if I'm a gay.
K : oh, is it? hahaha..
R : so when will we be catching up? i (he) will be going for biz trip next week for three weeks and will be back in Mar. will be catching up with you (me) after i (he) comes back from the trip.
K : ok, no prob.
R : ok. take care & happy valentine's day.

after ending the conversation, i was smiling away and sharing my happiness with yvonne. hahhaah... i don't know how to tell her abt this but break this mater to her today. i feel so bad. i'm sorry, von for keeping this from you.

i feel so happy and i duno how to describe how i'm feeling actually. well, i jus happy that he called and we chat for awhile tho is only 6 mins. happy is the word i can say.. not long after that, my colleague, christina gave us (von, audrey, boss and myself) a photo of our team with the word : happy valentine's day. i will post the pic tmr cos we laminted it and leave it in office. ahahaha..

today, 14 feb shall be the day that i will never forget. i got a v day greeting from the person i like. tho it is not a gift nor flower or anything, i jus feel so blessed and happy. i'm sorry to keep repeating this but i'm really happy.. ahahahah..

today i finally received my bestie's CNY card. she's cindy. she's so sweet, every year sure make an effort to send me a card. so blessed with her around. and you know some thing, i have knew her for abt 14 years.. we knew each other since we were 9 years old and so coincidently, my dad & her dad also knew each other.. hahahha... i'm so proud to tell the whole world that I have cindy as my fren, my sister for so many years thru thick and thin, happiness and sorrow.. hahahha.. she wishes me and my family a happy new year, and of course, she wish me to find a good man soon.. ahahaha.. (not so easy lehz)

one more thing, we were having CNY lunch today in office. it is sponsered by one of our caterer. so sweet of the lady boss.. after the lunch, we loi yu sheng.. the aunty was so cute, wish everyone happiness thru out the year, strike lottery, have a new-born baby (to one of our newly-wed engineer), strike the best for studies (most of us are taking up part time courses) and she look at me to say, wish you find a great man soon... i was like laughing my head off... (tho it is wat i wish for too)

life is always like that. when u wish to get something, it will not appear. but when u least expect it, it will appear right in front of you... i cant stop myself from feeling this way.. i duno why i have since feeling lately.. who can help me???

i hate valentine's day. i love valentine's day. i hate valentine's day. i love valentine's day.what do i actually love and hate?? make up your mind, kathleen.. what is going on??? i really envy for all the couples around me. they are very very lovely and sweet. they must be happily preparing for the upcoming valentine's day on Thurs, 14 Feb. so many heart shaped cakes, so many roses, so many lovely choc, so many lovely programme coming along for the valentine's day and jus so many lovely stuffs for the V day... hope my man will appear soon.. (jus day-dreaming away...)

i feel so tire after the long holidays.. i dun feel like working.. cos i dun wish to serve those nassy pple... ahahahah.. but do i have a choice?? no, i don't. diao!!! what to do. jus day-dreaming away... ohh mine, kathleen, pls wake up... no time to waste anymore.. work hard and study hard.. oh ya, my next module will only starts on 26 Feb (Tues).. and i need to work doublely hard for my study and my figure too... no time to waste anymore.. there are things plan out soon for the rest of the months.

Sun, 10th Feb (Day IV)
i'm went for movie with bev at 11.35am and it's duration was 2hrs; meaning the movie ends at 1335hrs. this is my first movie in 2008 and the first movie that i was so touched till i cry. bev read the book - P.S. I Love You and it is super touching. normally when bev and i went for movie together, we will choose the couple seat cos we are an item... hahaaha.. kidding..

hihi.. I'm back to posting again.. Sorry for those that have been following up with my updates as I was busy for the past few days. (seriously, I also duno what I'm busy with. Hahaha)

Let me recall some happy happening during the last few days :

Wed, 6 Feb (CNY Eve)
finish work at 11.45am. dad fetch mum & i from work. went to tiong bahru to buy some prayer stuffs. then went back home to do some last min touch up for the nite.. mum then started preparing for our sumptous reunion dinner. tis year was abit different cos we have a new member. let me intro, he is my bro-in-law, Mr. Lim Boon Heng.. ahahaha.. he is no stranger to us. hahhaa...

after dinner, dad give us ANG PAO... hahaha.... including heng too... good good!!! and mum + grandaunt prepare for prayer and i cant remember wat was i doing then... hahahah... i have si yi zhen.... :P

Thurs, 7 Feb (CNY Day I)
i wish my fren, R a happy birthday & happy CNY at 00:00 hrs.. so happy.. looking forward to meet up with him sooon.... (but the soon never comes yet, sigh...) nothing much to post on chu yi cos was rotting at home, watching tv and surfing net....

Fri, 8 Feb (CNY Day II)
i slpt at 2plus in the morning and only woke up, say like 11plus to 12, i tink. then my god-parents and family came over to my place to pai nan. wow, my god-sister changes so much and my god-bro grew taller than me.. 1.73cm, you know. thou i'm 1.72cm. never expected.. hahahahaa... nothing much to talk abt with them cos my god-father always say the same other things like, how's work? must make yourself valuable. still studying part-time or not? must take up microsoft offices classes to make yourself more capable in using the programe? etc... thou is jus to catch up how i'm doing, i sometimes (actually is many a times) feel so irritaited by his asking.. got sscolding from mum say that i should not have such a feeling towards him asking me all these questions which she find that is not right. but i jus dun like. i'm a werido.... hehehee....

well, after they left, we were in the midst of preparing to go to maternal grandma's house to pai nan. we reached yishun abt 3.30pm. my uncles, auntys and cousins were already there. my cousin (sis) brought her dog along. her name is girl girl. SHE IS VERY FIERCE TOWARDS US cos we are strangers to her, i tink.. heheee.. val was so scared that she wants glad to carry.. ahaha... we wishes all of them happy new year and fa cai.

as for maternal grandma, she was busying preparing for hot coffee. let me tell you, no-one can ever beat my maternal grandma's kopi o. it is fantisticly good and you will love the kopi-o aroma. it is a must must drink whenever i go to her house... so paiseh, still trouble her. while she was preparing, i ask mum to take over from her cos i as in we (jac, bev, glad & me) gave her a red packet as a token of respect and blessing for her in the new year ahead. maternal grandma was so paiseh, ask me dun need la. then mum told her, u jus take, the sisters give u to buy cigrattes. so she jus kept it. i wishing her all the best in the new year ahead especially her health. she looks shag at the same time.

we (jac, bev, glad & me) stayed awhile and go over to 2nd aunt's house. reason being, all the years, pat & family always go to her father side on nan chu er and we have no chance to meet up during CNY. so jus nice, this year, they are at home with their invited relative from Uncle Chia's side. i shall tell you why i want to go 2nd aunt's house, firstly, she cooks cury which is my fav dish (i love her cooking. it is fantisticly delicious), secondly, i miss my 2 cousins' company. i feel great with them around. we are the crazy bunch of pple whenever we are together. nothing but talk craps and take toans and toans of photo. we stayed at 2nd aunt house till 8plus then go back to maternal grandma's house. we had our photo shoot at the staircase while the adults are gambling. we sneaked out of the house without the little one knowing. i tink we took abt 50 pics together.

we were caught at the staircase taking photo by my little cousin, wei and niece, val. then we jio them to take with us. it was a very happy and crazy moments for us. and we ask the little ones to call cousin (xiao mei) to take photo as well. we took so much photos..

after the photo session, we left at about 9plus cos dad was here to fetch us.... that's the end of the day..... continue the next day...

Sat, 9 Feb (CNY Day III)
aunty bao zhen was here to pai nan. ahahah.. long long time never see her le. we went out together to pai tai suai at ah nam shifu shop opposites guan yin miao. after that, we went for some prayers at some temple and headed home at abt 4plus 5, i tink. mum starting preparing the stuffs for our nite steamboat party and bev and i went out to do some shopping.. hahaha.. came home abt 1915hrs and we only started eating say 2015hrs. heng and jac bought munchy donuts back.. so sweet of them... we'd an enjoyable dinner together.. hope for more to come.. after our dinner, dad brought some food down for paternal grandma and paternal 2nd aunt say they also wants to eat, then we quickly prepare the food for them... sigh... but was fun..

guess what? we hide ourselves in the room discussing abt jac's thingy with heng.. and we are planning to tag with them to taiwan during year end.. heng helps me to calculate how much i have to agar agar spend, so that i can save $$$ for it.. hahaha.. looking forward to year end... hahahaha.... fun fun...

that should be all for now... I'm leaving for movie with bev... i will post again when am back from movie with the CNY pics we wore on Fri nite..

hihi patrons, I'm back to blog. Sorry for not blogging the past one weeks as I was busy helping out to clean up the house and do some CNY groceries thus have no time to come online.

Finally I made up my mind to create a blogger of my own after seeing how wonderful my bestie did for theirs... All thanks to my bestie, Cindy for helping me create one and deco it.. I can say we have tel-pathy cos she knows what I want for a blog skin and true enough, she gotta me something that is exactly what I want in mind. Thanks babe for your kind assistance and sorry to take up your time.

From today onwards, I will try to update as much as possible for all my day to day happenings.. So whoever concern, stay tuned ya!!! (same channel, different timing)

And this is my first post.. I feel so different about it... I shall not write today's happening as I was too lazy and tired to recall.. heehee... BUT I want to share with everyone this article that I have come across while reading this magazine... It is rather long, so be patience and enjoy reading as follows :


A Slice of Life - How do you measure happiness?

Happiness is something that most people are concerned about and want. Athenian philosopher Aristotle once said that "Happiness is the end for which human beings are designed." But it seems that many people are confused about happiness. Sure, we know it's important, but it's surprising how many people are not happy and how many are looking for happiness in the wrong places.

Some of us think the more we have, the happier we'll be. Think about the times in your life when you bought something because you thought it would make you happy. How long did the joy last? On hindsight, was it really worth the effort and money?

There is so much pressure in our culture to buy and to have. But there is a rude awakening to actually attaining the things that you think will make you happy. It is often so disappointing. How many times have you wanted something, only to find once you had it, it didnt give you the joy and happiness that you expected?

Someone else canot make you happy? One of the myths of our society is that finding the perfect mate will bring perfect happiness. However, people who depend on others for their personal happiness are often bitterly disappointed. True happiness comes from knowing yourself, your values, and what you like to do, not from someone else knowing these things about you.

We also have to understand that happiness is not guaranteed. It is not a right. If we can fully understand this truth, then we'll cherish happiness more when it comes, and grieve less when it goes..

Questions about human happiness are not new; they have been asked throughout time. But no-one else can really tell you how to find happiness. Also, what makes you happy changes with time. In reality, happiness is a personal thing with as many varities as there are individuals. The bottom line is that we are all experts on our own personal happiness, no one else holds the key or the answers to it.

I would like to end by sharing a statement by Robert Louis Stevenson : "Make the best of your circumstances. No-one has everything and everyone has something of sorrow intermingled with the gladness of life. The trick is to make the laughter outweigh the tears. Don't take yourself too seriously. You can't please everybody; don't let your neighbours set your standards, do the things you enjoy doing, but stay out of debt. Don't borrow trouble.

"Imaginary things are harder to bear than the actual ones. Since hate poisons the soul, do no cherish enmities, grudges. Don't hold post-mortems. Don't spend your life brooding over sorrow and mistakes. Don't be one who never gets over things. Do what you can for those less fortunate than yourself. Keep busy at something. A very busy person never has time to be unhappy."


I personally feels that this article is quite meaningful and it states how we people feels over happiness. And I think we shall learn from the statement by Robert Louis Stevenson.. How about you? What is your view over this article??
